  1. We just noticed the same issue! However we found if you go to Setup -> Application Links and then select configure (under the on switch) - "Even tho it was previously configured" and then hit save changes - without actually making any changes after a few minutes all our links from cPanel to WHMCS started working again. I'm assuming this is caused by cPanel updates - couldn't say for sure! (according to the information on the application links page, depending on how many products or services you have it could take up to 30 minutes to rebuild all the links) Hope this helps!
  2. Hello Everyone, I'm Mike (a.k.a sidgrafix) part owner and developer with DevFX, Inc. I would like to introduce a long overdue and much needed product “SimpleFraud™ for WHMCS” First, if you don’t mind I’d like to tell you a little about why my company has spent the last year developing and fine tuning SimpleFraud. I promise I’ll try to keep it short! Anyway, it all started about a year and a half ago, a little over a year in business - slowly growing. All the sudden it was crazy, orders coming in left and right! One to two new VPS or Dedicated Server sales every day or so. This went on for a couple of weeks, we were excited! We thought we we’re finally getting noticed. We watched the numbers, we verified with our payment processor (at the time through Authorize .Net) - there were no red flags, everything seemed to check out including AVS and CVV verification as the transactions happened. As everything settled back into what was our norm at the time, we didn’t think we had anything to worry about... We were so unbelievably wrong! About 5 months later the first one hit…a CHARGEBACK, chargeback – what in the’ is a chargeback! No one told us about chargebacks and fraud prevention when we started out. Setting things up…we were under an awful assumption and let me tell you did we look like the @SS because of it, but at the time we really believed the payment gateway and credit card companies wouldn’t allow faulty and fraudulent transactions especially passing their checks and balances. “Yep I know, you don’t have to say it!” Turns out there is not one payment gateway out there that will guarantee your transactions, kind a sad really. And it didn’t stop there either, after that first one we had a rash of about 8 or 9 chargebacks that followed in the next few months (all orders and services provided during that couple week explosion.) As the credit card companies just reached into our bank account and took their money back there was nothing we could do but watch. When all was said and done our payment processor through Authorize Net cancelled our account. Aside from losing over $6,000 when all was said and done - it additionally hurt, having to contact all our customers and explain to them we’ve changed our payment processor and they all need to login and reset their credit information on their next due invoice. Needless to say FRUSTRATING, COSTLY and all the while using Maxmind the native fraud prevention addon for WHMCS (which provides no guarantee on results…NONE) So we decided to do something about it and hopefully prevent this kind of thing happening to others especially those just getting into online sales and service (also known as credit card not present retailing) – were in reality the retailer takes all the risk! “ALL OF IT” Well not anymore with SimpleFraud™ SimpleFraud is an advanced fraud prevention and order management suite of tools that not only offers premium scoring but guarantees you against “CHARGEBACKS” If you receive a chargeback using SimpleFraud you are reimbursed 100% of the order and the chargeback fee within 72 hours of receiving the chargeback. SimpleFraud takes the risk off of “you” the retailer and has been developed to work with digital goods and service providers via WHMCS. Everything is handled through your WHMCS installation with a built in case console and dashboard providing everything you need. You have the choice of two platforms or both: Advanced ScorePlus™ and Guaranteed CompletePlus™ Advanced ScorePlus is similar to Maxmind in functionality but has the advantage of using advanced machine learning models in combination with public records, social media and another dozen sources in real-time to evaluate a potential client for fraud. Maxmind is even utilized by SimpleFraud in a small portion of the scoring and evaluation process. “PLUS” if you’re not sure about an order you can ask for it to be guaranteed up to 7 days after accepting the order with the click of a button in your case console. If that’s not enough to make it an easy decision to switch then you will want to try our CompletePlus platform! Guaranteed CompletePlus provides “complete” order assurance using the same machine models as ScorePlus. During the order process as a case is created through SimpleFraud in real-time the order “if our system believes it is not fraudulent” will be provided a guarantee. Guarantees are provided through our partnership with Signifyd a leader in e-commerce assurance. What does that mean? That means anytime an order is guaranteed - if you “ever” get a chargeback on that order, you are reimbursed, and fast. You can quickly start the chargeback process with the click of a button from within your built in case console. Additionally we’ve included some nice configurable options and an administrative overview widget to further aid in order management while using SimpleFraud. As development is perpetual with us we will be including more features and option while adding new tools to the platforms both planned and requested. As with all our products and services, DevFX backs everything up with full support. SimpleFraud is available at https://developfx.com/clients/cart.php?gid=26 Additional information is also available at the WHMCS Marketplace https://marketplace.whmcs.com/product/1946 We also have a dedicated website for SimpleFraud at https://simplefraud.com with complete detailed information. Should anyone have questions I would be more than happy to answer any and all! You can post them here, or contact us directly at DevFX / developfx.com Thank You, sidgrafix | DevFX, Inc.
  3. UPDATE! After what seams to be about a month on debugging this issue here is the status: In WHMCS v6.1.0 and 6.1.1 the order process has a delay of exactly 1 minute 31 seconds when timed by a stop watch This was not a problem in v6.0 thru 6.0.2 (I don't know about 6.0.3, I have not tested that version) This escalated thru WHMCS support from level Technical Analyst II to WHMCS Developers with no resolve! I finally had no choice but to dump the 6.1.1 installation which was under a dev license and reinstalled a saved download version of 6.0.2 - after which the problem was gone and the order process proceeded in a timely manner (5 to 20 seconds) However this does not solve the problem for 6.1.1 which our full license install is on and takes 1 minute 31 seconds to proceed with the next step in the order process when the "Complete order" button is pushed! If your using 6.1.0 or 6.1.1 I recommend you check your order process "as I know most people do not after updating" - because WHMCS says this is not a problem with 6.1.0 or 6.1.1 I would appreciate it if someone could confirm there order process using 6.1.0 or 6.1.1 and time it Thank you, Mike | DevFX, Inc.
  4. Hi All, Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same problem on 6.1.1 Issue: On Checkout page /cart.php?a=checkout when you complete the form and click on "Complete Order" the page hangs for at least 2 minutes before proceeding to the next step (be it ?a=fraudcheck or ?a=complete) - o loader no nothing just sits there. I can tell it's doing something from the web browsers loader spinning in the tab. I can confirm this on two different installations both having the problem after updating from 6.0.2 to 6.1.1. We completely did a delete of all files on our dev licensed WHMCS install and reinstalled so there were no addon modules and or additional hook files to test this 100% stock and still have the problem. We have a support ticket open and have provided a server side 'strace' of the problem for whmcs support but they have been slow on ticket response lately, so I'm asking the community? Has anyone else even tested there cart system after upgrading? We only found this because we are currently developing a new fraud prevention addon - which requires us to test thru use of the cart system. When we were testing on 6.0.2 we had no issues - orders processed as they should in a timely manner. Once we upgraded to 6.1.1 the 2 plus minute delay started (we originally thought this was something we did with our addon that caused this - turns out this is not the case after removing everything and refreshing to 100% stock 6.1.1) We then tested on our live full licensed whmcs production install and it does the same thing 2 plus minute delay when you click on "Complete Order" button to finish the checkout process. NOT GOOD.. We've checked re-checked and triple checked everything server side and come up empty there as well... I can hold out another couple days in hopes there is a solution found - but if I have to at least on the dev license go back to 6.0.2 which will require a complete db dump to do - we will as this has halted our development. So again - has everyone checked there cart functionality (stock not a custom theme)? Thank you in advance! Mike | DevFX, Inc.
  5. Receiving system health errors for cron - says system cron has not run (which I can confirm by log and email it has and is working 100%) it also says pop3 is not configured correctly or working for support departments when in fact it is. We have tested every department we have "no issues" -yet system health says otherwise!! For those of you with DB issues we discovered that you need to add the Lock_Tables privilege to the DB user account or it will fail to back up. This information needs to be added to the installation documentation for WHMCS. (Not sure why this would change or the reason behind it - but lock tables on backup could cause problems if an order is being made while the DB is being backed up unless the site is put into maintenance mode which I do not believe is automated at the time of DB backup! Should probably be an option - both ways "the use of lock table on backup" and automatically go into maintenance mode when DB is backed up.) Moving the cron folder along with 'downloads, attachments, and templates_c' in further securing WHMCS is good practice but if you really want to secure cron I think WHMCS should add a feature to only allow cron to run from specific IP's. Hope somebody fixes the false "System Health" issues soon. I'm OCD and can not stand it when something says warning or gives error when it should not!! ~Mike DevFX | DevelopFX.com
