  1. How would I go about downloading the latest version directly on the web server instead of downloading on my computer and then uploading on the server (which is a waste of perfectly good bandwidth not to mention precious time. I was thinking wget would do it but I get some file called dl.php?type\=d instead of the real deal.
  2. uname-r, The requested change to WHMCS is not only to benefit Quebec (which I am from) but other users might and do need it to operate their businesses. I still think that this is good for the software to allow for at least 3 decimal places in taxes. as pointed in a previous post I made, it's easy to fix the software as I've done it myself and it's been working great for me eversince.
  3. Reading this thread I noted that this quick-fix won't fix everything as it is explained. 2 tables need to be modified to make it work, tbltax, field: taxrate and tblinvoices fields: taxrate and taxrate2. That way invoices will work as well.

  5. Hi James, I've been with WHMCS (as a customer) for 3-4 years now and I can attest to you about the quality of their services, for me that you have not been answered is un-explicable. I've always been answered quickly and professionally.
  6. At first I re-instated the old module, and it seemed to work, but I later found out that there was a bug. Customers would pay but their invoices would still be marked as unpaid. I just did what Matt suggested and if it doesn't work I will post back to keep the comunity informed.
  7. Thanks Sparky, already had a backup of it, and it works in V5.0 just fine. I was just wondering why it's not there anymore? Has something replaced it? What about legacy clients then? If you do a clean install (providing you keep the DB intact) it's not anywhere to be found in here. (except through oldtimers like us I guess)

I've been using paypal invoices for as long as I've been using WHMCS a few days ago I made a clean install of V5.0 of WHMCS and now everytime I try to invoice using paypal invoices I'm struck with "Gateway module is missing" error. Back in the days this was a standard module in WHMCS and thus was installed by default. I know I could just retrieve from the backup the missing paypalinvoices.php but I tried to the pristine file on this site and couldn't manage to find it, has support for this been discontinued??? Or is there a new way of doing things I'm not aware of.
  9. I know I could simply change the billing date for this, but I was wondering if there was a possibility to do it pro-rating the billing to the new desired date? So to detail the issue I have a customer with multiple products ordered on different dates and I want it all to be billed on the 15th of the month. I also want new orders to be billed on that same date. Yeah, I know I'm cheap and laz...
  10. I dunno if this qualifies as a bug or a feature request or it just might be me but here goes. in products we have the overide suspend feature that says do not suspend until a certain date. Really helpful for customers that tell you the check is in the mail, however this is lacking for add-ons and thus means that every time the cron runs, the add-ons get suspended again. Did I miss something or is this by design?
  11. So you're saying that you can't use paypal subscription without the customer opening a paypal account? I already have a 2checkout account, is it possible to setup areccuring payment through them? -if not, which would you recommend? (I don't have a high volume of transaction through CCs) Thanks for the info on the upgrade... Frankk
  12. I have a customer that I invoice every month, but he'd rather pay automatically using a reccuring payment on his cc (he doesn't want to open a paypal account BTW). How do I proceed to make it so? Can I do that in 3.8.1? Which brings the next question... 3.8.1 - 4.1. Is it simply a matter of installing the latest? or do I have to go 4.0 and only then upgrade to 4.1?
  13. My 2 cents on that, A way to achieve this is to add 2 fields: 1 for tax order and 1 for tax applied on sub-total.

BTW I did look in the manual, searching for "domain automation" got me no results. Searching for "domain pricing" gives a page where automation is not explained very well. I also tried to search for "domain registration" and found "Automatic Registration" which states: So again I do try to RTFM when I hit a bumb in the road, but I don't have days to solve my problems, I try to solve my customers problems ASAP.
  15. Hi, Is it possible to configure the system to automatically register the domain name upon approval of the order instead of upon payment?
  16. Good thinking Trine, was exactly thinking the samething... What about Typos, if a guy makes a mistake typing the province name... I'll look into it, but if anyone else has pointers on doing this, I must admit I'm not that good with Javascript.

  18. Hi, I live in Quebec, from what I understand, I'll have to setup my taxing in 2 blocks 1 for Quebec and 1 for the others from Canada. My Questions are: 1- When setting up states, do I put in state codes or full states names. 2- When setting up rules for states, can I put in more then 1, if so do I separate them with ( , ) or with ( ; ) or anything else? 3- What's the difference between Inclusive and Exclusive in tax setup?   20. I have verified the site with Firefox, IE and Opera, could you point where you're seeing this? Opera doesn't give as good results as I would like, but it is still very much usable. Also if you have pointers on how to bypass using tag within the span tag... Would be appreciated.
  21. Actually, Jeff is a friend of mine that I met when I started using ALP. He did the design on the layout, that's why I keep the kudos there! If you look in his forums, you'll see my site there is credited as a template he's selling to others for use with ALP, I was fortunate enough to know the guy.

  23. I'll admit that "screwed" might have been overstating it, but I was wondering about the hours and/or if there was plans to get a north american support team in the future. It does seem like a pretty great app, but I just wanted to make sure I was not replacing a mistake by another (right now I'm using ALP and I can't say I'm a happy camper. Thanks
  24. I noted that you are a UK company. Since I'm in Canada, do you offer 24/7 support or am I screwed by the time differential?
