  1. I have a strange situation where a new client cannot log into their account in WHMCS with the correct user/pass. I can log into their account using their user/pass from any computer I choose. However, I have done a Zoom session with them where I controlled their computer remotely, entered in the info exactly the same way, but it says the login is invalid. Tried it with both Chrome and Edge. Even after doing a password reset from their remote computer and using the new login info it still says invalid password but only when done from their machine. If I do it on mine (even using a different browser) it logs in fine. Any idea what might be causing this problem? A firewall issue would block them from seeing anything at all on the site so I am guessing that can't be it?
  2. I noticed something this evening. When the system sends out an invoice if a user clicks the link in it that shows them their invoice PDF first it is giving the Chrome Suspicious Link message: Suspicious link This link leads to an untrusted site. Are you sure you want to proceed to http://www.straightarrowhosting.net? However, if I copy the link from the email and paste it directly into a browser window it opens fine with no warning. My SSL certificate is up to date and functioning fine. I also have noticed that this error only seems to pop up when the user has not yet paid for the invoice. For example, if I pay the invoice then go back to the same email and click the link it opens fine with no SSL error. This makes me think somehow the paypal payment buttons at the top of the invoice are causing the error since they do not appear on the Paid versions of an invoice. Do I need to do something to fix this? It's kind of a problem to have users being told my site is insecure when it isn't...
  3. I'm sorry to ask about this as I am aware it has been asked dozens of times before, but after reading many of the posts here and attempting to do what they have suggested I am still getting almost all of my invoices flagged as spam. Many do not even seem to show up in spam and are apparently deleted before they arrive at the recipient. I created a fake client in WHMCS and signed them up for a package so that the system would send out emails to a test site called isnotspam.com. I then visited their report link and received the data pasted below as to why the message was flagged as spam. Please note that I am fully aware of the line regarding spamhaus blacklisting. We are on that one blacklist not because of anything my server has done but because a server on a nearby IP address is apparently a mega-spammer. Spamhaus has blacklisted an entire block of the nearby IP's for some reason and as a result I am currently preparing to move the server. In any case though, the problem of getting blocked invoices has been going on long before that spamhaus issue cropped up a couple of weeks ago. The only other thing I see is the line about the BAYES_99 score which is probably the problem. The thing is that I am using the default WHMCS text for those invoice emails. If the default text that is provided with a new install of WHMCS is triggering this BAYES_99 response in SpamAssassin then surely this is something that needs to be addressed with WHMCS in general? In any case. what do I need to do to fix this? I have been manually forwarding invoices to clients if they don't pay assuming that they are not even getting the invoices that the system is sending. They receive my email just fine. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. The text pasted below is the output from the isnotspam.com site's analysis of my WHMCS invoice email. --------------------------- This message is an automatic response from isNOTspam's authentication verifier service. 4. I received this notice today from my server: Time: Tue Feb 4 20:25:03 2014 -0700 Type: LOCALRELAY, Local Account - straight Count: 101 emails relayed Blocked: No Sample of the first 10 emails: 2014-02-04 12:10:01 1WAmJl-0004e1-2c <= root@vps.xxxxxxxxxxx.net U=straight P=local S=921 T="Cron <straight@vps> php -q /home/straight/public_html/whmcs/pipe/pop.php" for straight 2014-02-04 12:15:01 1WAmOb-0004uN-LS <= root@vps.xxxxxxxxxxxx.net U=straight P=local S=921 T="Cron <straight@vps> php -q /home/straight/public_html/whmcs/pipe/pop.php" for straight etc. (continues for eight more entries) But when I go into the back end of WHMCS to look at my system email log it shows no emails going out for the last few days. Is this something I need to be concerned about? Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated. -MaestroC
  5. That fixed it. When I went to that place in the settings the text that was already in the box was: <p><a href="{$company_domain}" target="_blank"><img src="{$company_logo_url}" alt="{$company_name}" border="0" /></a></p> No idea how that got there because I did not put it in. When I pasted in the normal html it all works properly. Thank you!
  6. I think this may be a different problem... I see that plain text check box when I go to edit the individual templates, but what I was trying to do was send a message directly to a single customer by clicking the box next to their name in the client list then clicking Send Message. After putting in my message and sending it the system added the logo HTML to the top of the message. I do not see anywhere on that editor form where you can send or not send in plain text. Is there a setting somewhere that tells the system to always send HTML emails?
  7. When my WHMCS system sends out an email it should display the company logo at the top of the document. However, when a customer receives an email from the system right now they get the raw HTML which does not seem to want to render correctly (at least in my testing). Here is an example of what the system is sending out: -------------------------------- <p><a href="http://www.myhostingcompany.net" target="_blank"><img src="https://www.myhostingcompany.net/whmcs/templates/default/img/logo.png" alt="My Hosting" border="0" /></a></p> Dear XYZ, I wanted to take a minute to welcome you to.... --------------------------------- Is there a setting somewhere that I need to tweak to make the logo render properly? Thank you, MaestroC
