Yeah, after some of the 2CO things I've seen, I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole. It's probably easier (in the long run) to setup a merchant gateway from one of the many different providers (MerchantPlus comes to mind). I'd much rather pay $20 a month to know I will get good quality support, be able to reach somebody on the phone if I need to, and not have to deal with any loopholes that could get my account terminated. I run PHP 4.4.7 (a few boxes are still 4.4.6) and PHP 5.2.2 on all my boxes, as well as Zend Optimizer and ionCube (for un-encoding ionCube files). I find that running both PHP 4 and 5 is a great way for people (including myself) to start coding for PHP 5, and takes away a lot of worry about whether or not their scripts will work on my servers. With PHP 6 being released sooner than we all think, I think it's about time we start moving away from PHP 4 (and all the older technology too, like Apache 1 and MySQL 4.1). Alex

Why PHP 5.1.4? I would definitely recommend using the PHP 5.2.x branch, as it is more stable and actively maintained. We run both PHP 4 and PHP 5 on all our servers, and have had the most luck with PHP 5.2.x in terms of usability and compatibility with existing PHP 4 applications. Alex

There is no way you can find another WHMCS-type system that has no branding and is cheaper than WHMCS. If the owned license is too expensive, buy a monthly one. $16 for unlimited clients and no branding is pretty incredible deal, if you ask me. Alex

Hello all, I tried doing a quick search around here first, but didn't exactly know how to word what I wanted, so I didn't find anything that solved my problem. I'm interested in integrating WHMCS on my website, where users can login to WHMCS through a custom login form. For example, I want users to be able to login and get sent to the client area from any page on my site (I already have the login box on all pages, all I need now is to... do whatever is necessary to make this work ). Any input on this would be great. If it isn't possible, oh well, but at least I tried! Alex
