  1. Thank you, that seemed to work. I did have to manually assign the registrar and then 'register' each one for some reason. That had always been automatic upon receiving payment.
  2. Hi All, A client ordered several new domains but also accidentally ordered hosting for them all as well. These were all meant to be forwarded to an existing domain. He didn't complete the payment, so the order was still pending. I was trying to figure out how to modify the order, but didn't see any option for that. I did 'accept' the order in the back end. I also logged in as the client and didn't see any way to cancel the hosting plans in the as of yet unpaid for order. So in the backend under the client's summary page I deleted the newly ordered hosting plans. I was hoping that by doing that the invoice would be updated. BUT that was a mistake. Now the invoice can't load. I get an "OOPS" page when trying to view the invoice from both the backend and the customer's portal page. So figuring that the invoice was now fubar'd I deleted it from the invoice page. So now I have the new domains in the domain section, they are listed as 'active' but they have not been sent to the registrar because they haven't been paid for. So how do I handle this at this point? I obviously need to generate some kind of new invoice and have the client pay it so that the domains can be sent to the registrar. I'd appreciate any guidance. Thank You, CJ
  3. I just tried activating the regular PayPal module. It does place the 2 buttons (PayPal & Debit/Credit Card) directly into the checkout screen, but it looks like this gateway will default to setting a subscription during the checkout.
  4. Hi All, just noticed that when a client checks out using the PayPal option the button to "Pay Using Debit/Credit Card" is now gone and replaced by small text that reads "Try Another Way". Clicking that then brings up a pop-up at the bottom of the screen which then has the "pay using debit/credit card" option. This is very unintuitive for clients and we're getting complaints. Is there any way to revert back to the previous interface option?
  5. I have a client with 3 sites; 2 of them are on a Windows server that is not managed by our WHMCS installation. The third one is on the managed server, but they are not set up as a customer. Currently they are billed twice a year for all 3 sites on the same dates. This is done manually via an emailed invoice. Is there a way to have this client be added to WHMCS so that his 2 off-server sites and his one on-server site are invoiced the way they are being done manually now?
  6. Yes, the base load of php 5.4 includes pdo and the appropriate sql drivers. I heard from tech support. The problem was that the pw for the dbase user was using the older hash string. So they had me change the dbase user pw in cpanel and that fixed it.
  7. Whatever is running is the same that was running on version 5.x. I just checked in my cPanel and the site is set for php5.4 as native.
  8. Hello all, I've submitted this to tech support, but I figured I would ask here to see if I can get this solved faster. I upgraded our installation from 5.3 to 6.1. I did a full install as per the instructions. When navigating to the site to complete the installation I get this error: Warning: PDO::__construct(): The server requested authentication method unknown to the client [mysql_old_password] in /home/c2it/public_html/billing/vendor/illuminate/database/Illuminate/Database/Connectors/Connector.php on line 47 Critical Error SQLSTATE[HY000] [2054] The server requested authentication method unknown to the client Any ideas what this is? Thanks, Chris
  9. Hi All, I have a client who was on annual billing. Their most recent invoice was due on 12/1/13. They called yesterday and gave us the credit card info. We told them we could set it up so that it would autopay each time the invoice was generated (paypal subscription). So we logged in to whmcs as them and paid the invoice. We couldn't set up the paypal subscription because the invoice was already past due. So today they call and are upset because they thought they were going to be billed monthly! So my question is; what's the best way to refund the full amount that was due on 12/1/13, convert their payment preference to monthly, bill them for December and then set up the auto paypal subscription for going forward? I already have the API credentials setup for paypal refunds. So I'm just looking for the correct way to process this mess. Thanks, Chris
  10. Unfortunately, I don't have the backup. Hostgator will restore it for $15. I was used to my previous host automatically providing free weekly backups. Lesson learned! - - - Updated - - - Looks like the cc_encryption_hash is critical as it contains all of the clients passwords for their accounts plus anyone's credit card details. Think I might have to bite the bullet and pay Hostgator for the restore of the old file.
  11. Thanks Ufshane, The first 5 lines and customadminpath are no problem. I have that info. I'm not sure about the others, though. Are those used in a basic installation?
  12. Unfortunately, the file configuration.php.new in the full 5.2.10 version is a blank document. So I have no idea of knowing what should be in there.
  13. I backed up my sql database before attempting the upgrade but not the directory itself. So when I uploaded my new whmcs directory to my server I lost the existing configuration file. Is there a way to get a dummy one that I can edit so that I can continue the upgrade without the script thinking I want a new installation? Thanks, CJ
  14. Thanks John, I also put in a support ticket because I was panicking. I got the same advice and will do that today. Regards, CJ
  15. Hi All, I just recently changed the billing cycle for a client from monthly to annually. Unfortunately I forgot to change the recurring amount. So their next invoice generated for the year but it still had the monthly amount. I deleted the invoice from the system, but now I'm thinking that wasn't the correct way to fix the problem. What should I do now? How do I get the system to generate another invoice for that product/service? Thanks, CJ
  16. Ok, here is what mine says: Web Accept Payment Received (Unique Transaction ID #xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) So I guess it wasn't done correctly. I just don't remember having the opportunity to select 'subscription' during the payment process. I know I saw the button, but I thought it was only there for a few seconds before I got sent to the paypal interface. So if I have to correct it at the next month's invoice would I need to change anything in the way I have my whmcs set up? I know I have it set to process recurring charges 0 days before the due date. Thanks, CJ
  17. Ok, I've done that and looked at the transaction in paypal. I see a "payment type" of instant. I'm guessing that should say something like 'subscription'. Is that correct? If so, is there any way to correct this? Thank You, CJ
  18. Hello All, I've just installed whmcs and entered my first client's transaction. They provided the credit card and I created the account and entered all of the payment info. When the payment screen came up I thought I saw 2 buttons, one for a subscription and one for a payment. I don't believe that I clicked on either button but the system just redirected right to paypal after about 3 seconds. I completed the transaction at paypal and all worked well. But is there a way to check and see if this customer will get billed every month as intended? Thanks, CJ
