  1. Hello Just started using WHMCS after a long period of doing other things. The built in orderform and cart templates do not work very well in mobile phone browsers. Before I set about digging around the stylesheets and the template code I thought it best to ask first. Has anyone created responsive versions of the built-in templates? Or has anyone created responsive orderform and cart templates which can be purchased? Thanks for any links and comments
  2. Thanks for the tips. I have enabled captcha as suggested. Hopefully this will solve the problem.
  3. This is definitely being done via the form and it is being done manually due to the low volume of tickets being created. I have not enabled captcha because I wanted to make it easy for people to submit tickets. I hate Hackers and Spammers I really do!!!!
  4. For the past two days some **&**cker (Insert your own expletive here) has been trying to hijack my forms and registering support tickets. Below is an example of the crap they are trying to send. Clearly they are looking for ways to breach the system. I doubt there is a way to stop them but is there a way to protect the forms any more than already built into the system? Example of one of five tickets created in past few minutes: Client: jiffy lube houston. tx Department: Hosting Support Subject: vlXFmGugFSKcYCI Priority: Medium [this actually helps them by posting all the links in a forum that receives attention from Google, so removed] ---------------------------- IP Address: 24.201.132.58 You can respond to this ticket by simply replying to this email or by logging into the administration area.
  5. For some time I have been having trouble with ghost entries every time an account is created. The new hosting client always gets a random account allocated to them. I finally downloaded all the hosting table and deleted all the accounts which were no longer being used. Since then the server has terminated or suspended all the hosting accounts on the server at 9.00am and 9.30am over two days acting on instructions from the billing system. I spent all yestereday until the early hours of the morning restoring the server only to find it dropped all the accounts a few hours later. What on earth is the solution? Thanks
  6. I also thought Register Globals was not needed for 3.2. I enabled it in php.ini and now the cart works, admin links work but the front page of admin (Home page) is blank. I have a top menu bar and a lft menu bar but nothing in the middle The licence information is also missing. What on earth is wrong now? ** Edit - I Fixed it. The problem was a bad Apache/PHP setup. I rolled it back and enabled register_globals in php.ini and it seems to be working ok *** Time for that upgrade I think
  7. Hi Matt I recompiled Apache with CURL and this allowed me to log into admin. But now the links within admin do not work properly. If I click Suspended Accounts it takes me to all accounts. If I click a particular user it takes me to the first user beginning with A. What else could be wrong? Jim
  8. Hi Matt I created a phpinfo file and it seems curl is not installed. I have never done it before so never thought to check. Once I have found a decent tutorial for installing Curl, I will post and let you know if WHMCS works again.
  9. Hi all We had to do a complete OS reinstall on the server and once everything was restored WHMCS has not behaved properly. People cannot sign up for accounts, admin login page is blank domain search behaves erratically and generally things are broken. The admin cron jobs for invoicing are running but I cannot access admin at all so I cannot respond to suppport ticket requests. Can anyone suggest what could be wrong? I don't want to have to rebuilld WHMCS from scratch again. I have not done the upgrade yet. Please PM me if you require further tech info - I will not post them in a public forum. Thanks
  10. OK I am all confused now. If not all domains use a Transfer Secret and some use email confirmation then would it be easier to switch off the Transfer Secret bit? If so which template do I edit and can I just comment it out without causing too many problems? Thanks for your help - really do appreciate it.
  11. Doh - I figured out what you meant about English.txt. I opened the folder and editied the text file to update the text I wanted. I feel such a thicko
  12. Thanks for the replies guys I already have the localisation set to United Kingdom and the default language as English. Where in WHM admin do I select the lang folder and English.txt? On the "Transfer Secret" bit - is this really needed or can I safely comment it out in the template without causing huge problems? If I cannot comment it out can anyone suggest a more descriptive phrase and do I edit the english.txt file to change it in the template? Sorry if these are a bit obvious but I am still fumbling arounf the system.
  13. That makes sense. I've seen many where they've pretty much got every region of most countries, though that would be more work than it's worth. I think you can do this with AJAX - have seen it done with ecommerce carts and countries. Sorry - am not a coder so cannot help any further. Just thought I would mention it though in case someone who understands AJAX coding can produce what you need
  14. Hi all This may be a bit of a numpty question but what on earth is "Transfer Secret" which appears on the domain transfer page of WHMCS. Is it really needed and if not how do I turn it off? Also how do I customise the billing page and change things from US to UK (I.e. Zip should be PostCode) Thanks for any help
