is there any explanation why we can't do lookups with any extensions then?

should we have configured a domain registrar first before we can get this to work?

in the whois lookup screen in the admin area, the drop down for the TLDs is empty inthe domain pricing screen it says "If any extensions show "Not Found!" for the WHOIS Server then WHMCS does not support WHOIS lookups on that extension. You will need to find the WHOIS Server details for that domain and enter them in the file "includes/whoisservers.php" for lookups to work. Any checks for extensions that are not supported will return Available." and "No Domain Extensions Setup"
