Ping! Light bulb moment. Here's what we did to fix it. In Products/Services Setup. We originally did not tick 'Require Domain' (because we sell domains separately). Instead we had an Additional Required Information field asking for the domain name. That's a bad idea as WHMCS then didn't know the client's domain name, and hence the error trying to create the hosting in WHM. So if you have this problem just make sure you select 'Require Domain'. Customers can select to bring their own domain name with them.

Searched here but can't find anything relevant. Trying to get WHMS all set up. We're very close but when WHMCS logs in to our shared reseller server's WHM, and tries to create the new hosting a/c, this error is returned: We can't tweak the settings as it's a shared server. Anyway, is that right ? I mean, if we're making a new reseller a/c does that mean it's a subdomain ? Does anyone have any idea what we can try next ? Many thanks.
