There's nothing wrong with the trial, the actual error message just means that the server was taking too long to set the account up - maybe there was a high server load at the time or something else may of happened. It shouldn't be giving you the error message all the time. Try submitting a support ticket.

i have found the solution, from his oh i found it and no resonse it prompted me to look into the settings in whmcs itself.

Here is your solution, it is your server setup.

I currently have two reseller accounts set up, one is the main account that sets up hosting packages and the other is for setting up a site that i sell and i need the skel directory for holding the site.

So now onto the solution. The server ip's in the server setup shoul point to the primary ipaddress of the server

as i also use two sites for my setup each with its own ip address. dont use the sites ipaddress unless it is on a seperate server.

Error: (Curl Error) connect() timed out! - code: 28

Possible Timeout Reasons

Server too busy dealing with other requests

Server site ipaddress does not match the whm server details

Server doesnt exist

Im glad to say, mine is now fixed and i just wanted to not be a disgruntled troll for a while and play nicely with the natives :)

Please add to this list:

- Enable SSL mode in WHMCS > Setup > Servers > {edit server with problems} <- this is the only solution that worked for me.

It has been a while and im back again as i found out what is actually causing this code 28 error. i thought i had before until the last 2 days when i had it again after an upgrade of my services.

il say one word and seriously the penny should drop

FIREWALL!

Ok so you thought cool CSF seems like a good option for a firewall, i have to agree it is, just remember to add Your whmcs installations ip address into the CSF allow ips list. while your there you can either specify the ports (2086/2087) for WHM as a part of your ip allow line or edit the configuration and unblock them there.

personally i would speciify in the allow file if you dont allow whm access.

anyway for csf you want something like this

0.0.0.0 # Manually allowed whmcs ip do not delete

your IP and your comment, just keep in the "do not delete" that way if you flush the ip allow/deny blocks it will remain and you wont be pulling your hair out wondering why whmcs went on the fritz again.
