Set Password From Database, encryption error

there is any way to set password from other application (sms gateway), i'm traying using MD5 encryption but it's not working ...

 

for now isn't a good action if i disable MD5 encryption from general setting, cause it mean all my password client will be reset.

 

what i want to do is, my client can change /reset their password via SMS .. so i must put their new password and save directly to database ...

 

any one can help me ?
