hello all

i've just installed whmcs and have run into a brick wall

to the best of my knowlage i've installed everything as i should have (although obviously not else it would be working)

i have renamed whmcs to client and i have followed all of the further steps includeing renameing the admin directory, but beyond that everything is more or less as it came out of the box

i've set paypal web standard as the gateway with the api details aswell as just an email and also setup the ipn link in my paypal profile (i've tried ipn both on and off, it makes no difference)

when you go to checkout an order, paypal processes it and the payments are arriveing at the account correctly

however on clicking the return to merchant button im presented with

Not Found

The requested URL /uk/cgi-bin/www.[domain].co.uk/client/viewinvoice.php was not found on this server.

the url for this page is

https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/http://www.[domain].co.uk/client/viewinvoice.php?id=35

if i remove everything before the seccond www. (i.e just the bold left) it returns me to the invoice, (although im no longer logged in) however its still marked as unpaid

i've run out of idea's on what i've done wrong here so any help would be much appriciated

i've managed to figure out one bit of the problem, although i've no idea whats causeing it or how i go about fixing it

the paypal ipn's are failing repeatedly, if i disable and reenable ipn then click resend it will be prosessed whenever paypal next does a resend correctly (they seam to get progressivly longer over time)
