Plesk safe_mode per domain on by default

Hi All,

We are a previous Modernbill user and now loving the WHMCS product. But there was something that Modernbill did that I can't find any mention of in WHMCS.

Starting in Plesk 8.x, the Parallels folks decided to enable/disable PHP safe_mode per domain which overrides the main php.ini setting. It was a fine option to be able to make changes within the CP without having to manually edit vhost.conf files anytime someone wanted to install a PHP based application.

Problem is that the check box to turn on PHP safe_mode by default is checked. So...every time we get a new signup, then they pay their bill and the account gets automatically created in Plesk, we have to go in and uncheck that blasted box manually. Each and every time. Reason is MOST and I mean 85-90% of our clients use the Application Installer or are installing some type of PHP application that requires PHP Safe_mode to be OFF.

Modernbill had an option to send the API call to the user tools to turn safe_mode off for that domain. I understand that WHMCS uses the much simpler method of calling templates to create clients and domains, but the Domain Template doesn't have an option to disable that checkbox.

Has anyone figured out a workaround to get safe_mode turned off for new clients and domains?

Thanks in advance,

Rob
