Add ons and paypal subscription

Hi,

 

I was wondering if someone can help me with a question I have.

 

When a cusomters buys a dedicated server from us and goes to Add-Ons and purchases a few addons, when he goes to checkout to Paypal, it only asks for a subscription payment of the server itself not the addons.

 

This is kind of annoying since customers give up and either end up emailing us to do this manually and they are confused.

 

Is there anyway the add-ons can be added as part of the subscription automatically?? Surely there must be an automated way?

You shouldn't really be using Add-Ons for dedicated server items. You should be using Configurable Options. Take a look at the example here: http://www.whmcs.com/tour.php?p=4

 

Using Configurable Options, everything is in one single PayPal Subscription payment.

But isn't what Addons are for? Adding on things to a server like adding on a hard drive, memory etc?

 

Anyways I will check out the Configurable Options.

 

The manual is severely lacking on how to set this up.

No, there aren't many people who use addons for that sort of thing. WHMCS has configurable options specifically for the purpose so there's a dropdown of available items for each option.
