simple promotion question enable recurring and Apply only once per client globally

If a promotion is a recurring

and in the promotion set up configuration I also tick the Apply only once per client globally.

 

Does it make sense?

I believe this would still work recurring would be for the product that they purchased, once per client means that they can not utilize the promotion again it doesn't mean that the promotion is only applied to one invoice...

 

So I could use the promo once and have it recurring.. If I tried to enter the promo into the promo box again it would be invalid promo...
