Zeon
Hi, I'm trying to use the new "upload file" feature to upload sales material into a client's account. However when I try to do the upload I get the following error message: You do not have the required permission to perform the selected operation! Action: Manage Clients Files I initially tried with a 3MB PDF proposal but even with a 100KB file I get the same error. Any Ideas on how to get this working?

nextinspire
You have to assign permissions to your administrator role for this new feature. Login to admin panel > Setup > Administrator Rules > check the item that named as 'Manage Clients Files'
Zeon
You have to assign permissions to your administrator role for this new feature. Login to admin panel > Setup > Administrator Rules > check the item that named as 'Manage Clients Files' That was it - great I didn't even realize that there was an administrator roles option! Also running windows so the 755 (and god forbid 777) don't apply - thanks though, it could be useful for others!
DataViking
I got the same problem, the files are 777, but not showing in the client or admin site but the are being uploaded as I check and they are in the attachment folder. strange.
thehost5968
Have you got the Administrator Rules set up? also as you say you have 777 you should get the server change so that folder only need 755 and all files only need 644 your server admin / host should be able to set it up like this for you. I would say this is a must these day for any host. Edited October 4, 2009 by thehost5968
