Miron
Hello, How and where is this new option? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Direct Order Link Preset Selections – it is now possible to pass preset selections and values for the billing cycle, configurable options, addons and/or custom fields defined on a product in the direct order links ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Regards,

adtastichosting
Pre 4.x WHMCS, the link that was provided to a product in the admin product and services "details" section went directly to the product description of that particular product within a product group, whether or not there were configurable options. This was great to be able to send the direct link for example via an email to a client or prospect for ordering a service. What made it more better is that rather than taking them directly into the cart for checkout, whereby they would miss seeing the actual and perhaps "legal" description of the item or service, they could first peruse the item description- people like to see what they are buying and this was a good thing in that sense and as well perhaps, more informative rather than just being directly into the cart with the basic one line title of the item they are buying. Especially important perhaps in the case of "higher priced" services with a detailed itemization of the service provided being shown in the product description and a more simplified single line representation in the final cart. The new system, the link is provided in the admin product and services "other" section. (Actually what section the link is in is irrelevant to this post just mentioning it.) What has changed (other than the location of where the link in admin is found) is that the link takes you directly into the cart unless there are configurable items for the product. And this is what it seems has changed and what some might mean when they ask about how to generate a link to their product item. Whereby the instructions given here, might not really answer the particular need discussed in my post, unless you figure out the workaround, as I did. So, the trick is- if you want to generate a link that does not take someone directly into the carts final checkout process (step 3 I believe it is called) but rather to the individual description of the product from a particular group (step 2, I believe that is called)- then you will need to configure some sort of configurable item for that product. It doesn't need to be "required" but needs to exist all the same and needs to be checked to show on the front end. It could be as simple as a text field asking for "Additional comments or information you want to supply with your order" or something to that effect. I call this a workaround in order to have a feature I need to have in my particular selling environment. Just a simple musing...
factor
hello, i'm trying the other thing, getting into checkout directly, but even preselecting the package and billing cycle it shows me step 2 where it shows the description of package. There is configurable items/options but they aren't enabled for this product. Any idea why it's happening and how to fix it? I'm trying to do something like this: https://factoriadigital.com/gestion/cart.php?a=add&sld=prueba86854&tld=.com&pid=41&billingcycle=annually And, if the domain is available, getting automatically to the view cart step, or even better, checkout. We don't have additional options. We only want people to register domain for 1 year and one domain, if they want more domains/years they can do it after signup. Or anything that will shorten the order process. It's possible? regards.
