rainboy
We noticed that as of V3 invoices are send out for domains which are made free for our customer by making the price 0.00. (as we want them registered, but do not want the customer to pay for them). this was not the case in 2.5.8.
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted February 1, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted February 1, 2007 The reason for the change is in V2.5.8, a free domain was not invoiced, the next due date was therefore always the date of order, it therefore always showed as unpaid, resulting in the order always showing as unpaid and caused issues. Therefore, it is now included on the initial invoice with the hosting account but any backdated ones will be generated seperately. You must set the next due date in the future.
rainboy
That is exactly what i did now, i must say 'not' the most appealing solution but a working one. Kindest regards, Patrick
impactgc
I would think this is a good thing. Letting the customer "see" they are getting something that normally cost - for free. Just me.. I would want an invoice to go out regardless if there is a 0.00 price. Thanks, Adam
Twobit
I agree with impactgc - as we are an entirely free hosting company, this is great!
rainboy
Its not such a problem its done from now on, the problem is it does it will all my existing customers, and that is not so fun at all. So beware that after you upgrade they all might receive a mail at once. I took me by surprise. Kindest regards, Patrick
