Additional Contacts Login Add-On V1.1 Has Been Released!

 

New Feature List - V1.1

 

- Clients can add passwords to contacts.

 

- Clients can assign permissions to contacts (i found it better just to allow clients to assign permissions to there contacts)

 

- Re-Design of the login page (idea thanks to Impact-John)

 

- Lost password feature for contacts

 

Instead of using my Log Client Changes Add-On to log changes. I have had added a "Recent Client Add-On Activity" to the admin home to let the admins know when a add-on contact has logged into the main account. It logs the IP Address and Exact Time and Date of the Login.

Hi, I just bought your module and have some comments.

 

1) In the admin area, "Pick up a Client" - til now I am still looking for the client in the long endless list. Can't it be alphabetically or how is it sorted?

 

2) In the clients area, permissions to be granted, why did you put a box for "yes" and a box for "no". Can't it just be a box that when selected means "yes"?

Still in client's area, "Assign/Update Premssions" (please correct spelling), when I go back there all the check boxes are empty. It's either not saving or not working.

 

Coz I can see all the client area even if I set the user to attend to ticket support only.

1.) I have made the "Pick A Client" list the clients in alphabetically order.

 

2.) In the clients area for the permissions i have made it to show only one check box which is "N". If checked then no access will be allowed to that page.

I will be sending an email to the clients in a moment with a doc on how to get the permissions to work. I forgot to include it in the ZIP File.

Would it be possible to have the Password and Permission on the same page as the Additional Contact?

 

They must stay as links, Cause as i see this WHMCS uses a header recall when posting data which wipes the posts out. WHMCS being encoded i cant get access to the post page. Sorry!

1) there is one left for spelling correction: the "Assign Premission" click botton.

 

2) I already uploaded your latest and revised version. Concerns:

 

a) the email used in the ticket system is from the main client and not from the addon user.

 

b) the addon user can see all pages of main client despite of the permissions being set. I followed the instructions at: http://projects.gurumaniacs.com/knowledgebase/14/How-To-Install-V11.html

 

Any advise?

I noticed that "My details" of the main client is open and does not have any restriction box.

 

May I suggest that for the add-on user you use the principal of blocking everything initially and then the main client would allow whatever he wants the addon to access (like a firewall).

 

This is because as an addon user I can see the statement of account in the main page of the client as well as access the invoices and even print them.

I've added the checkbox on mine and also added a note to check the boxes not to allow.

 

I agree with you cmo that they should be initially off and checked to allow access.

 

@Gurumani that should be easy to do by just changing FALSE to TRUE if(stristr($premissions, $p_access) === FALSE) correct?!
