Keiro
Okay, I want to know exactly... HOW is WHMCS able to tell which ports are open and which aren't? I need to know, because my VPS is exhibiting the exact same behaviour as my test VM. I know hostgator's reseller account that I have works flawlessly when viewing status. But not with the VPS... as far as I can tell, it's got everything it needs. (Maybe.) So... what do you actually need to have the status display wizardry work, besides having php installed? I know some of you might ask for output of iptables -L, so here you go! root@serv1 [~]# iptables -L Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination acctboth all -- anywhere anywhere Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination ACCEPT tcp -- anywhere localhost tcp dpt:smtp REJECT tcp -- anywhere anywhere tcp dpt:smtp reject-with icmp-port-unreachable acctboth all -- anywhere anywhere Chain acctboth (2 references) target prot opt source destination tcp -- serv1.shattereddreamshosting.com anywhere tcp dpt:http tcp -- anywhere serv1.shattereddreamshosting.com tcp spt:http tcp -- serv1.shattereddreamshosting.com anywhere tcp dpt:smtp tcp -- anywhere serv1.shattereddreamshosting.com tcp spt:smtp tcp -- serv1.shattereddreamshosting.com anywhere tcp dpt:pop3 tcp -- anywhere serv1.shattereddreamshosting.com tcp spt:pop3 icmp -- serv1.shattereddreamshosting.com anywhere icmp -- anywhere serv1.shattereddreamshosting.com tcp -- serv1.shattereddreamshosting.com anywhere tcp -- anywhere serv1.shattereddreamshosting.com udp -- serv1.shattereddreamshosting.com anywhere udp -- anywhere serv1.shattereddreamshosting.com all -- serv1.shattereddreamshosting.com anywhere all -- anywhere serv1.shattereddreamshosting.com all -- anywhere anywhere I don't know what that stuff means, though. >_>
