List available products

I posted on the integration forum and via email. I received a response that I would need to read the database directly to get a list of available products (possibly by product type or some other criteria).

 

Just wanted to check and see if its feasible to extend the API yourself to do this? We may be able to read the DB, but in some cases this might not be feasible, whereas an HTTP call that delivered the list back, would work a bit better.

 

Any ideas?
