Dixiesys
I offer free hosting but only with a domain registration/transfer/renewal so how can I (or can I) require a domain name to be ordered for this free package?
gismo
If you go to "General Configuration" and "Order Form" you can set it up there.

I could be wrong, but i dont think this is currently possible without some sort of coupon.
DataHosts
I think what he is wanting is possible. Within the Admin click on the package you wish to offer this with to edit it. "Package" --> Other Tab --> Tick this box to offer a free domain with this product Just select that and the pay term you wish to offer it with.. Is this what you are looking for?
TheGamer
No he wants the opposite. Not a free domain with hosting, free hosting with a domain.

Yep exactly, free hosting with a domain, any domain. So regardless of which domain they get, they can get a simple small hosting package to go with it.
DataHosts
No he wants the opposite. Not a free domain with hosting, free hosting with a domain. My bad...I am backwards. Yea...dont believe that is available, but I could be wrong (have been wrong). I would suggest a feature request on this.

Dixiesys
But that will make ALL plans require a domain reg/transfer right? I only want to require a domain for the one plan, the free one, the rest of the plans can be without a domain registration/transfer to be ordered.

NO, this does not FORCE a user to get a new domain, it just allows! It also is of no help to what the OP is trying to do.
TheGamer
I don't think this is possible to do at this point, but it would be a good feature indeed.
jumonjii
If you only offer 1 hosting package you can do it like this. Under General Configuration uncheck "Allow clients to use their own domain." Create a GROUP like "free hosting with domain purchase/transfer" Create a Product, for that group - domain registration. Assign it to a server setting (Cpanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin). Pricing is set to Free. When a client chooses this option, they go through the process of puchasing a domain for the "Free" hosting package. The only downside, is that the general configuration is global. For other hosting plans, your clients won't be able to use their existing domains.

Basically we need to request that the settting: "Allow clients to use their own domain." could be able to be set per product and not just a general configuration that blankets everything.
jumonjii
Or both.
MACscr
Or both. I agree, just like how the affiliate settings work. Can be set overall and per product, etc
