shoppew
Hey guys! WHMCS beats anything else out there, so props to those who have created it & volunteer their times & resources to make it better! I'm a relative WHMCS newbie & my plan was this: have an online shop & webhosting be one of the many things I vend. I use Joomla as a base & VirtueMart to handle the sales of my tangible goods (ie: anime CDs, DVDs, Japanese snacks, etc.). Joomla has the "wrapper" (a glorified iframe) function, so could it make sense I just use the URL of my WHMCS installation right there & keep all of the links opening up in that frame? My issue with this would be if people were given/generated links specifically from my WHMCS installation, that didn't match the URL of my online shop. My site would be similar to this: http://pdnmz.com What is the best way to seamlessly integrate WHMCS into a Joomla website with eCommerce capabilities? Im so sorry if this is a loaded question, but I appreciate all of your guys' input!
mojowill
whatever you do don't iframe it!
shoppew
hmm then considering my orders for a majority of my other items would be handled through verturemart & WHMCS is for webhosting stuff, what other alternatives do i have?
mojowill
use the API to pass orders from venturemart to WHMCS? or stick all your products into WHMCS, it doesn't just do hosting
HerrZ
what about getting the joomla header and include it in whmcs smarty template? someone knows something about?
shoppew
i ended up just using the design default from WHMC, added a bit of my own shoppe's style, a created this: shoppe-webhosting.pdnmz.com it's not ready to go live & actually sell anything, but it is a start. i figure, it's not going to look as polished as i make things in joomla, so i have to come at it from a different way. now if they had a template program like artisteer is for joomla, id be all over that .
wrmhle
Starting from 4.0, Artisteer supports Export Plug-ins /http://www.artisteer.com/?p=dev and you can create your own artisteer export plugin (free or commercial ) for whmcs.
