WHMCS client passwords and external validation

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm not entirely sure if what i'm trying to do is possible since v4. Basically we want to be able to validate logins against the WHMCS database either directly or via the API.

I.e. user logins elsewhere and provides their email address and text password we then compare this to what's stored in the WHMCS database.

However, the passwords in the WHMCS database do not look to be a simple md5(string) password. Is there any way to achieve what we're trying to do? As i see no obvious ability available to the public to be able to compare what a user has entered to what is stored in the WHMCS database.

Kind Regards
