Invoice Numbers Not Properly Reflected in Invoice Display

Just noticed that WHMCS does not display the proper invoice # when viewing invoices in admin area.

 

For example, I create a new invoice for a client, click Options, and enter the due date, payment method, and invoice number, etc., then click the Save button to save the invoice options. Then I create the line items and save them.

 

On the home page, WHMCS lists the recent activities and shows Modified Invoice - Invoice ID# 1671. But the invoice has been numbered 1750 so this should show the invoice number, not the database record ID of the invoice. The hyperlink to load the invoice would include the ID of course, but not the actual display of the invoice.

 

Also, when viewing the invoice, the invoice at top says Invoice #1671, but directly below it with the due date, amount due, etc., it lists the proper invoice number 1750 as assigned by me.

 

This seems a little awkward as you would expect to pass the unique database record ID around but when viewing the record, you would expect to see the actual invoice number at the top of the invoice, not the ID.

 

Anybody got any ideas as to how to change this? This area of the admin interface is not templated so no way I can see to change it.
