quantumkaos
I am attempting to customize the register.php/billing/etc. etc. files from WHMCS and when I go to view them in Dreamweaver they appear to be encrypted. Am I doing something wrong? Is there anything I can do to edit these?
Zorro67
If yo want to customise, try looking at the same files with the .tpl extension in your templates folder (default/portal/etc) more info at http://wiki.whmcs.com/Client_Area_Template_Files
quantumkaos
Awesome! that makes sense. I am trying to locate the .tpl file that would be the http://www.mydomain.com/register.php file. I see a couple of register-type files but not exactly sure which one to choose. Any ideas? Thanks again for helping me.
redrat
Just as a general rule of thumb, it's not such a good idea to use Dreamweaver to edit certain files because it can alter them, or at least this used to be the case. It happened to me once a while back so I now use Notepad++. Apologies if you already knew this or if things have since changed. Any expert clarification?
noisehosting
The file you are looking for is called clientregister.tpl

I build all my sites in smarty using Dreamweaver and have never had a problem. I've been using Dreamweaver since v2, but only been using smarty a couple years.
