Recommended Posts

pretty heavy stuff..

Well the site was down for a while yes. its up now following the link above.

Im having a problem with this module.. i get an internal server error when i click through from cpanel,

Nothing shows in my logs at all about the error so i cant track it down.

Anybody got a clue what might be wrong, maybe php.ini dependencies that i may have over looked?

he never answers live chat or tickets even if you have a paid module.

The problem is I really want that inode monitor, I know Hostgator has it or something that looks ironically exactly like it but of course with all the talk regarding this guy being an iffy fellow, not sure I'm ready to hand over $50 and be surprised if the inode module requires me to install a config file giving mysql login information like the whmcs-cpanel bridge addon.

Note again: Do NOT download whmcs-cpanel bridge mod, the security flaw it opens up your entire business to is too much of a risk. In order for whmcs to connect to your cPanel it requires you to install a config file that contains login information to access your whmcs mysql database which would be the end of your business if one of your servers got rooted and they found that file on the server.

Be where this is in his support ticket's and now where on his site.

Free WHMCS Gold Modules are NOT SUPPORTED.

If your inquiry was about one of the free WHMCS Gold modules, this ticket will automatically be closed.

Ok i can understand him not wanting to waste his time supporting it, but hey, what harm would it do for him to have said, ok this needs X X and X set in your php ini, Im still no nearer to a solution.

I got as far as validating user.. then the page throws my 500 error document.nice hey

In all honesty if your server got "rooted" you wouldnt need to worry about that single file, there are more configuration files, there is one for whmcs itself so if you were to be so security concious as to not want a file like that then whmcs would have to go too wouldnt it.

Of course its not nice to think your server could get hacked but you can protect yourself, and by setting up the alerts system in whm you can then log in the moment there is a root entry that you have not authorised, by changing the password you kick them out of the server.

Off topic i know sorry

Still dont have this working by the way.. contacted his live support.. funny how live support is leave me a message and il get back to you.. which of the 5 websited should i choose.. oh hell why not all of them :)

Hello,

Does this mod still work you any of you? I have been meaning to get this installed for a while now and when i did it kept saying invalid licence, i then went to the site and it says to re order because they do not need licence keys anymore.

I have installed how the docs say but does not work right, once any user clicks a link from their cpanel it sends them to the page with the "Go" button and looking to the right i can see the customers details and shows is logged in but once Go is clicked or any other link on the page it logs out and asks for a password.

Just wondering if its a problem with my WHMCS or this mod.... im using WHMCS V4.2

Thanks

Martyn

I emailed WHMCSGOLD so many times over this issue and not one time did I get a reply, in the end worked it out myself.

Believe it or not this is how the software works, it checks the IP address of the last login in WHMCS and if its the same it allows you in, if not it asks for the username and password. Although its a secure way for transferring a client to WHMCS its pretty pointless for clients with a dynamic IP.

Any plugin for inode and process usage though?

Guys... you should drop this. The author is well known for no support. He won't answer you. More importantly read Sparkys post in this thread. It's #3 on the first page of the thread.

I seriously recommend you to review this mod - http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?t=26252 the author(s) are super as is the mod.
