"Back" or "Previous" navigation link .. how?

Hi everyone,

I'm a newby to both WHMCS and most definitely to smarty templates, but not to Joomla. I do a lot of Joomla site developments.

Anyway, I have a Joomla website for my hosting business and I'm very happy with how it looks, including how it wraps WHMCS.

Joomla 1.5.9 has an extremely powerful wrapper (far superior to 1.0), especially when it comes to auto height adjustment, turning off scroll bars, recognising SSL etc etc. So the end result is a very clean integration.

However, there's one thing lacking .. the ability to include "back"ward or "previous" navigation links to each WHMCS page so that, when wrapped, if a client wants to step back in an order process, they can .. without losing everything they've done so far.

And that's where I'm lost. Because smarty is like a whole other deal for me, I just don't have the time or energy to work out how to speak another language, so anyone's help would be a real time saver!

Can anyone guide me as to what code to add to each template so I can get this feature working please?

Once I've got it working, I intend trying a complete replication, or a second copy, of my Joomla site inside a secure subdomain, with the appropriate links pointing to and from each version of the site.

I know I'll probably have to use a multisites component to achieve this so that sessions and a single database can be shared across the two sites, but I've seen enough people trying to make a full Joomla/WHMCS integration work, that I thought I'd give it a red hot go.

If I'm successful, I'll post the results and a bit of a tutorial on how I did it. Fingers crossed! But I reckon a key to making it work, is the backward navigation links, so, thanks in advance for anyone's help.

Kerry
