vision20
Hi ... I'm in Australia, selling products in Australian dollars, and want to be paid in AUD. ie, NO currency conversions. When using 2Checkout, it insists on assuming my product price is in USD (even though it's set to AUD in WHMCS) and converting to AUD. So, a $77 product becomes $105-ish. I can kind of fudge it to work by applying a conversion of the price to USD, and then letting 2Checkout convert to AUD. The $77 product them becomes $78.05 or any other number depending on the conversion rate I choose. Not really a good look. Paypal works ok. Is there something I'm missing, or is this a problem with 2Checkout? All I want is the product price to be passed to 2CO in its native currency. Thanks and regards Frank
charliez
Just stay with Paypal, 2CO is a pay in the Ars Anatomica!
vision20
lol well, Paypal and I aren't the best of friends at the moment. Great for paying bills, not so great for receiving money. 2Checkout does have a really nice feature and that's a debit Mastercard through Payoneer which you don't have to be a US citizen to get. Load the card from your 2CO account directly and start buying stuff! They also seem to be serious about fraud, which Paypal doesn't appear to be. Thanks for you comment though, and I'll keep playing as time permits! Cheers, Frank
fearz
I as well have a similar problem, I use EGP curreny on WHMCS, so if a user checks out with 20 EGP from WHMCS on 2CO it becomes 20 USD, Any words on that?
fearz
It seems one final currency will be used (as you set in your 2co account) conversion will only take place in your WHMCS cart, THEN it will be converted on the checkout page as the main (one and only) currency your 2co account is setup for. There is a check box in your payment gateway option in WHMCS that will let you choose the final converting to currency.
vision20
There appears to be four places where currency conversion could take place: 1. WHMCS V4 itself if you set up multiple currencies. Say I have USD and Australian dollars set up. I need to choose one as the base. The client can decide whether to view prices in USD or AUD, and WHMCS does the conversion internally. 2. In the 2CO gateway in WHMCS as Fearz said above. (Thanks, I forgot that was there). 3. In my 2CO account. There is a default currency set there. 4. At 2CO checkout. 2CO checks the buyer's IP and translates into local currency. Trouble is, every time there is a conversion process, prices change. I did speak to 2CO live support last night, and they were helpful. Seems I need to set up a banking profile in 2CO making Aussie dollars the default. I can't do that until they finish their payment runs though, so I'll report back tomorrow! Thanks for your support. Cheers, Frank
