dansgalaxy
Hey.. Okay so with new version i am now re-writing all my custom TPLs again! .. yay fun. Is there a nice simple way to override the templates, e.g. add ?template=XXX to end of url to override? I need something so i can compare one template to another without having to keep changing it in admin... Cheers Dan
RyanH
You can append ?systpl=xxxxx to view a template without setting it in admin Reference: http://wiki.whmcs.com/Linking_to_WHMCS
dansgalaxy
Ah! Thanks! I would hug you but that might be hard as we are on a forum, and then there's the whole personal space thing... but Thanks
craigc
The ?systpl= argument doesn't seem to be working for me. 1. I've created a copy of both my default and portal folders called custom_default and custom_portal, respectively. 2. Then, I've modified the header.tpl file in each dir by simply commenting out the nav bar. However, when I view this via http://mydomain/whmcs/?systpl=custom_default or http://mydomain/whmcs/?systpl=custom_portal, there is no visible change. On the other hand, if I modify the header.tpl file in either the default or portal folders in the same way, the change is visible with or without the ?systpl=custom_xxxx. It's as if it is completely ignoring this directive. Any ideas?
craigc
SOLVED: on a hunch, i tried renaming the template folder 'custom_default' to 'custom', and systpl seems to be working. I guess it doesn't like the underscore...
