Sven
Hi again, Is it possible with WHMCS to let the customer choose for a custom package? Like this: In the admin panel I fill in the costs: €/Gb transfer and €/Mb Diskspace. The customer chooses how much transfer/diskspace he wants. He goes through the normal order process. After he ordered, I see in the admin panel what he ordered exactly and setup his package in the control panel. It would be a great feature if it didn't exist yet and certainly something that would persuade to buy your product. Another question: Is it easy to customize the signup script?(my trial ran out and I hadn't the time to look at it )
0 MACscr
yes, you just have to have some type of base package, then users can pick addons to make there custom package.

What do you mean exactly with base packages? Shared hosting/Reseller hosting? Could you give me an example (the process or a screenshot or something)? Thanks!
0 WHMCS CEO Matt Posted January 5, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted January 5, 2007 What he means is you setup a package that comes with 100MB disk space and 1GB bandwidth - ie. that's the smallest package the user can have with a price of $1 for example. Then, you setup configurable options which list all the different available disk space allowances, bandwidth allowances, control panels, extras, etc... and then WHMCS will calculate the total price due by the customer. It would work in the same way as can be seen here: http://www.whmcs.com/tour.php?p=4

Another question about registering domain names: Our company uses a Dutch registration company, mijndomeinreseller.nl, which supports API. 0 WHMCS CEO Matt Posted January 6, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted January 6, 2007 Yes, a user has contributed a dutch translated language file for use with WHMCS.
0 Sven
I setupped another trial account. Unfortenately, I get a blank page when I try to view order.php or clientarea.php, like this guy: http://www.whmcs.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2156 I uploaded my ioncube-folder with the ioncube loaders, still a blank page. This is the only thing I did: # Login to the admin area and configure your settings (Configuration > General Configuration) # Setup your Payment Gateways (Configuration > Payment Gateways) # Setup your Products & Services (Configuration > Products/Services) # Configure your Domain Pricing (Configuration > Domain Pricing) Another feature question: Is is possible to order multiple domain names at the same time? At this moment, with clientexec, I need to change their invoice and resend it when they ask to register another domain name in a custom box called "Remarks/comments".

You would basically have to do it the same with WHMCS as your currently doing with CE.

0 WHMCS CEO Matt Posted January 6, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted January 6, 2007 Yep, it is. Their base package is 0 Mail Boxes, 25MB Disk Space, 1GB Bandwidth for 4.40 euros. Then you just list your additional options like has already been explained.

This has already been explained like he stated. The order from sends things to the order file, you dont have to write anything custom to get it to work by default.

I mean in the custom package maker (like http://www.hostingcentral.biz/): is it easy to send the info from the maker to the order form.
0 WHMCS CEO Matt Posted January 7, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted January 7, 2007 You can't use that exact flash file from the site that has the sliders. Apart from the fact it wouldn't work with WHMCS, I shouldn't think the site owners would be very happy about it. You can do custom packages using WHMCS but not in exactly the same way.

Apart from the fact it wouldn't work with WHMCS, I shouldn't think the site owners would be very happy about it. You can do custom packages using WHMCS but not in exactly the same way. I wouldn't take that exact flash file , it was just an example of what I want to do exactly. So if a clients tells how much transfer/diskspace (s)he wants in a hostingwizard, the hostingwizard can't send this information to the order file, after which the order would be directly at step 2 or something. I'm sorry for my English..
0 WHMCS CEO Matt Posted January 7, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted January 7, 2007 No, I don't think that would be possible with the built in order form. It is possible to do however, but you would need to do some investigations on the order system and write your own file to set the correct variables and then forward to the order checkout page and it's not something we would provide help with.

Question
Sven
Hi again,
Is it possible with WHMCS to let the customer choose for a custom package?
Like this:

The customer chooses how much transfer/diskspace he wants.
He goes through the normal order process.
After he ordered, I see in the admin panel what he ordered exactly and setup his package in the control panel.
It would be a great feature if it didn't exist yet and certainly something that would persuade to buy your product.
Another question:
Is it easy to customize the signup script?(my trial ran out and I hadn't the time to look at it )
