glowgirl
I've been using WHMCS for awhile now for hosting, and it is working great. I'm trying now to set up domain registration. I have an account through eNom, and they've made the IP address live so the API should work. I've got WHMCS configured for eNom as the registrar. Problem is, when I go to look up a domain for either registration or transfer, I continually get "unavailable" on the website page, and, when I attempt to use the WHOIS utility in the Admin panel, I get an error message. I'm not sure how to solve this problem. Is it something with WHMCS, something with eNom or both?
glowgirl
Got this answered -- my server needed to open up Port 43.
ugurkuyumcu
Sorry it's been long time. But now i've had a same situation and how can i open up Port 43?
laszlof
depends on your firewall configuration. If you have root access on the server, you'd want to modify your firewall to allow port 43 outbound. If you do not have root access, you'll need to contact your provider to open this for you.
