Veyz
Is there something wrong with my license because I get this error message when I log in admin: LICENSE version Your owned license updates period expired before this release! In order to use this latest version of WHMCS, you need to renew your support & updates package for this license. You can do this in the client area at http://www.whmcs.com/clients If you feel this message to be an error, please email us on licensing@whmcs.com Want to change your license key? Click here I'm still using v3.3 and it seems that whmcs is forcing me to upgrade. I thought that renewal is optional, so why am I getting this message? I already tried reissuing my license and nothing happens. :-/ I already issued a ticket to license department. While waiting for their reply, can I get your inputs about this? Thanks
DF-Duncan
I think you will find that this is letting you know that you updated your installation to a version that was released 'after' your support for updates expired. You will thus either have to downgrade your installation again, or pay for support/updates again.
Veyz
I think you will find that this is letting you know that you updated your installation to a version that was released 'after' your support for updates expired. You will thus either have to downgrade your installation again, or pay for support/updates again. Thank you Duncan. I have that kind of understanding as well when I read this error but I didn't upgrade WHMCS after our license expired. I got our license on April 4 2007. Our last upgrade was August 26, 2007 -- when v3.3 was released. Our license is valid until April 2008 and we didn't upgrade to something more recent. I think this error would have applied to us if we are using v3.6.1 or newer. Anyway, I am planning to renew the license this month becase v4 is coming out. I just find it odd that this problem suddenly appeared. I hope to get the official response from license department soon... DF-Duncan
If it did appear with no changes then that is odd, but we did get that error on one of our licences, as we had upgraded one installation and the support had expired before the version we installed was released. I hope it is resolved for you soon.
Veyz
Got the official reply from Matt. I was told it was due to the migration earlier this week. Now it's fixed already. I was relieved. Thanks!
