prashant
I recently had this problem where i was creating an account for a customer who's domian started with discovery... i kept getting an error on whmcs admin that the username "discover" already existed in my whm.. which was not the case because i double check. After a support email to Matt i got to know that even if there was an account with "discover" on some other whm on my shared server, it would give the error. The problem now arises is that this could happen to anyone and anytime, imagine your customer signs up and pays you the money and does not recieve a welcome email. So the logical solution to this could be instead of taking the first 8 letter of a domain, it would be very safe to just take first 5 and then replace the last 3 with pre set numbers e.f dicso984 . this would ensure that no account on any shared server would have a username conflict. So how do we get this to work? Any ideas?
