Existing clients

I have about 60-70 clients for my reseller hosting currently and i am not using any software to manage or automate the process. I do it the old fashioned way, clients email me and i set up account for them from my WHM and then they drop a check or paypal later.

 

When i move to WHMCS,

 

1. Would they be transfered to the new system automatically?

2. Will this affect their hosting in any way? Downtime?

3. Whill my WHM still have them on record etc.

 

Also is it better to install WHMCS on a subdomain or a different folder so that tomorrow if i am running a blog on the root or on a different folder, none of the operations will be affected.

 

Which location would you suggest?

Added another point which i forgot.

1. You can use the WHM importer under Utilities. Obviously you will need to manually enter their address as this information isn't held by WHM.

I have mine in a folder /billing/ on my root domain, doesnt really matter were you put it
