odocoa
is there any localized, function/include based API provided with WHMCS? curl is a bit silly to use when everything is on the same machine.
0 Shaun
is there any localized, function/include based API provided with WHMCS? No there is not. curl is a bit silly to use when everything is on the same machine. I think the main reasoning behind curl is so that it can be used on and off machine. This was the same bit of code needs to only be written once.
0 odocoa
i do understand the reasoning behind curl-- but its got some big downsides and is just added complication/a failure point for many circumstances. there is no way to access the functions that the api uses manually? where can i put in a request for this?

If you have not yet purchased the system and have a client account with whmcs you could use the pre sales form. However i know that matt is very busy with WHMCS v4, thus a feature to provide something that is already present (even if its long and has a point of failure) would be low priority.
