Support Department Questions

Ok so I have sales, custom, and affiliate departments all going to one email addresss sales@yourcomany.com Now when I was testing the custom and affiliate ticket system the ticket would say it would go through but when I open the support ticket there is nothing there but says I have 2 open. Those 2 are the ones I tested to see if it was working. Is it possible that using one email address that it is messing around with the software and doesn't work. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks Jeremy
