RPS
We have a product (online backup) that costs $1.50 per GB. We would like WHMCS to be able to handle the billing for this product. We have clients using anywhere from 5GB accounts to 5,000GB accounts. It is possible to create a product without having to create a separate product for each GB? Or would I need to create a 1GB product, 2GB product, etc, all the way to 5,000GB in order to have WHMCS handle the billing?
Emerson
Have you tried configurable options? When adding configurable options you can set it to quantity and the customer can then type in how many GB they want to purchase
RPS
Do you know where I set the per GB price of $0.50? I set the product price to $0.50, setup the configurable option group, and then setup the custom field. What's next? I checked the documentation, but can't find it
RPS
Thanks for the info, after a lot of playing around I was able to figure it out! So here are the steps... Go to Configuration -> Configurable Options -> Add new Group Assign it to the product you wish to use it on. Then save it, go to the new one you created, and now you can click "Add New Configurable Option"
RPS
Another question... Will clients be able to properly upgrade/downgrade their configurable option? If not, is the admin able to? By upgrade/downgrade, I mean that it will actually process/charge the client for the correct amount. If it just changes the value in the system, and continues to wrongfully charge the client, I don't consider that a proper upgrade/downgrade.
