downloads for clients

Hi,

i was wondering if there is a way to prevent inactive and closed clients from downloading my files

 

the current option is to allow download files when client is logged in

 

but my ex-clients who practically not at my hosting , their account status is closed

 

but still can download files from the client area

 

i appreciate any idea to prevent them.

You could edit the templates so the download page is only viewable when a client is logged in.

there's an option to do that at whmcs 3.8.1 and i'm using it right now

 

but i need the client to be able to download files only if his account status is active.

You could move files from the downloads page to the products page. That way, only logged in, active clients would have access.

do you men to put the downloads.tpl code inside the clientareaproducts.tpl file?

 

or you meant some thing else?

Configuration > Products/Services > (select product) > Other > Product Downloads

 

All of the files you have uploaded will be listed there, and you can select the ones you want to be available to your clients

 

Now go back to each download detail page and check the box that says "Tick this box if this download can only be downloaded after a product purchase"

 

You can also make entire categories hidden to the public there, but it probably isn't necessary if you do everything else here.

Closed accounts cannot login. So adding {ifloggedin} should achieve what you want.
