Nathan123
Hi, I have recently applied for worldpay, yesterday I was told the following by them: Please note that WorldPay cannot be used to process payments which would be valid for more than 1 year. Therefore we could not take payments for 2 year domain registration. I have been told by worldpay this is how it is and there's no way round it, so I am wondering if anyone else has been told the same and if there's a way to not process .uk domains with the worldpay gateway to keep them happy? Thanks
chickendippers
Worldpay have suddenly got really up-tight. When we became a limited company they are insisting that we re-apply (meaning all customers must re-enter their CC details) and have slapped on a £2500 reserve! Not a good way to treat customers of 7 years!

Thats a bit rich given they are part of Royal Bank of Scotland - given the state of their accounts they should give you a security deposit ;o)
chickendippers
Ha, that's what we thought
Summy
Just a thought, but perhaps you could change the wording of your .uk domains, so it looks to worldpay (when they check) as if your charging say £10 for the first year, and the second year is free.

Hi they said the same to us! however it was stupidly cheaper to cancel all together and get a Streamline account £150.00 setup and then worldpay is free with 1% charge from worldpay on cards, finally we see a hell of allot more money in our account, worldpay direct is very expensive. And with streamline the money is in the bank 2-3 days later

simplybe
I have never had any issues with worldpay and domain registration. Been registering uk names for 5 years and worldpay have never questioned it. They are getting more fussy though, I had to sign a form and mail it to them confirming my details etc again. No idea why ? I also asked them to reduce the 4 week hold on funds to 2 weeks and they said no even though I have never had a chargeback or dispute in 5 years. Seem to be more awkward now since they changed to bibit.

Yes, that is something we're looking at.
Dominic
Protx & IMA is the way to go imo. Bit of a pain having to deal with protx + barclays but they've both improved and Protx have only broke things a couple of times....all a while ago though.
