Some of you may have already had this email if you are using Worldpay, but for those who don't or who haven't we have received this....

Essentially it is with regards to processing payments for Switch/Maestro cards, and that from the first of April MUST ask for the 3 digit cvv number (the one on the back).

Just thought I'd put it up for those who aren't yet aware or who are considering worldpay options.

Dear Customer

MasterCard now require that acceptance of Maestro card payments is accompanied by use of its Secure Code password protection scheme to ensure the identity of the cardholder and hence reduce fraud.

As we indicated in our communication on this last year (see below), our records indicate that you are connecting to the WorldPay payment service in a way that cannot support Secure Code. You must change to another method if you want to continue accepting Maestro cards after the 1st April 2009 - our new deadline from MasterCard. This will involve some technical work on your own website / systems.

Please ask your technical staff to consider this issue and plan to address it - details are provided on our News pages at:

***IMPORTANT ***

Please note that after the 1st April 2009 we will not be able to process Maestro payments from your customers if you are still using your current integration method (but all other types of payment will be processed normally).

I am assuming that you are using Invisible? If so, Matt and I have both worked on the new Invisible XML module which completely addresses the message you posted from Worldpay and fully supports MSC and VBV and works for recurring on ALL card types.
