WHMCS For non hosting company

First I am assuming I can use this product for any business that requires a client side ordering system and an admin side tracking system?

 

I have a programer that wants to use this product as a backbone to developing a large scale application that would allow us to sell our some 50 different services that we offer to our clients.

 

I wont go into any more detail the question is can this product be completely customized and built onto with additional modules?

WHMCS is primarily a script for hosting companies as the name Web Hosting Manager Complete Solution would denote, but you can however use it for other applications. There is a licensing manager addon that is available, and there is the ability to code in additional modules and hooks to extend the system as well.

Is the license addon required to make complete code change. I want to remove functions like domains and others then add completly

New functionality. Because I would have to trust a programmer to do this

For me I need to know the software can be completely customizable.

The licensing module is for licensing your own applications using WHMCS. Nothing to do with customisation. You can customise the entire frontend via the template files and create custom modules to automate provisioning should you require.

I can confirm that WHMCS is very useful to more than just hosting companies. Works great for my company!

If it weren't for brand recognition and other issues, I bet the name would have been changed. Maybe...

 

 

 

With each new release, more features are added that cater to us users that do not offer hosting as the primary service.
