Setup HyperVM product

We're in the process of setting up HyperVM VPS's and I'm following this doc: http://wiki.whmcs.com/HyperVM I've got a couple of questions as the order forms are just not working right:

Under setting up a HyperVM Package:

- In step #3 why would you want "Other" and not "Dedicated/VPS"? If you use Other it does not ask for hostname, name servers, root password (I think the doc just needs to be updated).

- In step #13 what is the custom field "Username" actually used for?

The one thing that seems to be missing is the domain name. When you set-up the product type as "VPS/Dedicated" it asks for the host name and name servers but it never asks for a domain name so you end up with hostname. instead of hostname.domain.tld.

Thanks,

Frank

I think the reason is because if you use VSP/Dedicated then the Module Settings you specify for the product won't be associated with the customer's package and when you try to execute some of the module's commands, they will not work. Matt can better confirm this 'cause he knows the inner workings of WHMCS, I'm just sharing what I have found.

When the type is Other, then the standard Username field is not taken into account and that is why the custom field is needed.

Best regards
