jackgordon
Is there any way to automatically deliver digital files that are ordered as "configurable options?" Failing that, what would be the best way to manually place digital files in somebody's "my products and services" product detail section?
jackgordon
ok, it looks like I can create a hidden product that has a digital download attached, and as admin I can just place it in the customer's account. Is there any reason not to do this?
ChrisGooding
I can see one issue, which you should always consider....Lack of atomisation. Im sure you will want to be successful, after all who doesn't. If so, then you should set up now as you want it to run when you have orders coming out of your ears, we plan every project this way. Manually having to add products to users accounts will be very time consuming when you have lots of orders coming in. And time = money as they say.
jackgordon
Yeah, I agree. For that reason, I ditched the idea of using configurable options for this and went back to regular cart items instead. It is not quite as clean as I hoped for, but it will be automated and in the long run, that is important.
