Knowledgebase Smarty Category Code Not Working

I'm having a little trouble trying to get the following code to work in knowledgebasecat.tpl

 

{if $kbcat.id==7}Videos{else}<p class="heading2">{$LANG.knowledgebasearticles}</p>{/if}

 

I've also tried $catid==7 but no luck there either.
