Thx1138.6
I'm trying to the add some content to the affiliates page (affiliates.php) and so am working on the affiliates.tpl file. However, none of my changes are showing up. So I assume I must have the wrong template file. OR maybe I'm going about it the wrong way. How are other people displaying their affiliate program details to potential affiliates? Any advise would be appreciated
chickendippers
Have you tried clearing your templates_c folder?
VicToMeyeZR
templates_c stands for cache of the templates folder... Sometimes just hitting F5 will reset the cache, sometimes not. If your not seeing your changes by hitting F5 then clear your cookies, and cache. You should then see them.
chickendippers
Just pressing F5 on your browser will not clear the templates_c cache.
Thx1138.6
Yep tried removing the file in the templates_c folder directly from the server but nothing doing... I've tried both affiliate template files and nothing is showing up. Any one got any other ideas?
BAJI26
Are you sure you are editing the correct affiliate.tpl.... Which template have you selected in the >> Configuration << ?
Thx1138.6
Yes I am using the correct template, though I have made changes to both of them just in case. I have made certain I am using the correct template in my configuration but again I have made changes to all three (my own, portal and default) just to make sure. I have made sure that the option to register without buying a product is enabled and that the affiliate program is enabled. At this point the only thing I can think of is that syntax (code) I am using to display the added connect is wrong. For instance this is how I am getting the register link to show up: {if !$loggedin} <br><p align="left"><a href="../billing/register.php">Sign me up! I want to be an affiliate</a><br> {/if} I must be missing something or simply don't have the correct syntax. Any further help would be greatly appreciated.
Thx1138.6
I should point out that the register link DOESN'T show up. It DOESN'T display so the code must be wrong.
Thx1138.6
Fixed it... Since you have to be logged in to enable the affiliate program the affiliates.php page display the login.tpl file. So this is the file that needed to be updated. Still its a kooky way of doing it. Really the affiliates.php should be used to register new affiliates and allow them to login if they are already an affiliate. I have since created my own page for this purpose. Thanks to everyone who offered their help!
chickendippers
Any registered customer can use the affiliate system, they don't need a hosting package with you.
