Terminated client is still receiving invoices

I have a client whom I manually terminated, but the client is still receiving automatically generated emails. I'm new to WHMCS -- doesn't 'terminated' mean that no more emails will go out? Or do I need to close the client's account?

If you terminated the package, no new invoices should be generated for that package regardless of the status of the client account. If there are still unpaid invoices the client would receive emails about those until you cancel those unpaid invoices (or they are paid).
