xenorhosting
Hey guys. I was wondering how i do things like special offers in WHMCS. I know i can use coupon codes but i want to be a bit more specific. For instance, if i speak to a customer privately, offer them a deal. Say the normal price of a domain is $6.95 and the ID protection $6.95. If i said i'd do $8.95 for both, how would i do it, without changing my whole price plan whilst he orders, and then changing it back after he's finished? Also, what about if i wanted to offer buy 3 domains get a 4th free? Or, upgrade your hosting to the next plan without incurring any extra costs? Thanks.
bubbasheeko
One way to do it is to apply a credit to the clients account for the difference.
xenorhosting
Is there no way to set it up differently?
Gears
Not sure, but maybe you could manually change his/her invoice before they pay.
rodeoXtreme
This occurs with us on occasion with servers. Our Sales Team will create the invoice for the Client with the actual price and on the next line enter the discount. For example: Domain Registration $6.95 ID Protection $6.95 Discount -$6.95 TOTAL Due = $6.95 Unfortunately, this is accomplished manually.
xenorhosting
So rodeo, do you mean that has to be a current client? Or explain how you mean? Thanks guys.
rodeoXtreme
If they are not a client; we have them register and the create the invoice. Now with ver 3.8.1 we are utilizing the Quote System instead of the invoice if they newly register. We are working on utilizing the Quote System more now that it is available. I hope that this helps.
ChrisGooding
Not sure, but maybe you could manually change his/her invoice before they pay. I would recomend against this, as in quite a few countries changing an invoice after creation is ilegal, and deleting them can cause some very serious headaches when it comes to an audit..... (auditors see a hole in invoice numbers, and you then spend the next 12 months or more trying to remove said auditors from your a-hole!!) My recomendation would be to make use of the new quote functionality, which will prove VERY useful for instances such as this.
