popart
I just completed my first install of WHMCS to httpdocs. But my host provider (mediatemple) tells me that if I intend to use SSL certificates that I should instead install the entire application to httpsdocs. They say the application(files) must be in the same folder as the SSL certificate. Is that correct? Do I need to start over from the beginning and install WHMCS to the httpsdocs folder in order for it to be secure? Thanks.
chickendippers
Depends on your host's setup; we allow customers to install an SSL certificate on whichever dir they like.
popart
Ok, so I've already installed WHMCS into httpdocs. So that's where I'd need to upload the SSL certificate as well? I'm just wondering if it would all be better in httpsdocs? Maybe customers would feel more secure to see the "s" since that's pretty standard on a secure page? Please reply with any advice. Thanks.
joe123
In plesk there is an option to "Use a single directory for housing SSL and non-SSL content" just check that option and upload your content to the httpdocs folder and the content will be available in both.
