BL4CKB4NN3R
Hey all, with hours of searching, researching, and reading, i have finally decided to give in and post a thread for help I'm trying to configure my WHMCS with my WHM so that when users order register it will create user profiles in WHM. Also create the cpanel for THEM to use upon ordering. When i create a server for WHMCS to communicate with, i'm confused as to what IP i use, and what the Hostname is. Do i use the IP that my host gave me when i registered? and the namesevers too. When i do use that info, it gives me an error when i activate a pending order that the sever doesn't allow adding of subdomains (which doesn't make sense i'm not even trying to do that) If i do register a user in WHMCS, it doesn't show up in WHM. I DO have packages setup already in WHM and the corresponding info entered in WHMCS. help!

I will try and answer your post in the questions that your presented: Ip Address: This is the main IP address of the server, would be the one that you were most likly given by your provider. Name servers: These are the name servers that you wish the domains that are created for that server to be given. Most of the time these resolve back to the same machine. Error about subdomains The username that you provide to WHMCS must have the approiate permissions to create the accounts. If the server is a cPanel dedicated/vps then most people just use the root user. You can use the access hash and ssl connections and this means that the transfering of the data is protected. If you are a using reseller hosting you just provide the details that you would use to log into the WHM panel on your providers cPanel server. I hope that this has answered your questions. If not post on and i will try to assist
BL4CKB4NN3R
Ok then, so the nameservers, would i be using the same nameservers i was given when i first registered? Subdomains, I have WHMCS setup to login to my cpanel WHM like i normaly would. and i have a reseller account. and it still gives the subdomain error. all i want to do is make it so users can create an account and use their domain to point to their server. I'm not interested in making subdomains. I'm assuming that i would have permission to create accounts if i bought a reseller account.... right? thanks for the reply!
