Invoices Problem

Im having problems with invoices.

 

When ive imported and account using the Import script (imported fine), i then want to create an invoice monthly for £x

 

Everytime i go to generate invoice it is always marked as cancelled and i cant select a payment gateway or anything ( i can attach a screenshot if it will help anyone out)

 

This maybe a very simple question but im new to WHMCS so please excuse my ignorance.
